The Giants had an exciting first year in the AFL competition in 2012, including our first wins in Sydney and Canberra, and saw a number of players emerge as stars of the game.

The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation believe all Australians have the right to literacy, because being able to read and write is the key to accessing education and employment, and to participating fully in society.
The Foundation is dedicated to raising language, literacy and numeracy standards in Australia and raises funds to develop, implement and sustain innovative projects for individuals, families and communities
Royal Life Saving Society
Royal Life Saving Society – Australia works to prevent drowning and facilitate healthy, active lifestyles by equipping all Australians with water safety skills. The Royal Life Saving Society – Australia has worked to harness the strengths of the communities they work with to reduce drowning and turn everyday people into everyday community lifesavers. Today, Royal Life Saving operates as Australia’s leading water safety educator, with over one million Australian’s undertaking a Royal Life Saving course or program every year.
Special Olympics Australia
Through the power of sport, Special Olympics strives to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people especially those with an intellectual disability.
The global mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience, joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
